November 18, 1962 - June 21, 2004

I don't remember losing track of you

You were always dancing in and out of view

I must've always thought you'd be around

Keeping things real by playing the clown

Now you're no where to be found

UCD Ark's Edison of Bronco, CD, RN, CGC,

Therapy Dog, WDI(5), WDII

"Edison"

May 5, 1998 - April 11, 2008

Edison was the clown of the house, always looking for fun. He was the first DDB to earn an UKC Total Dog award and the first DDB to earn an AKC CD (Companion Dog obedience title). Edison was such an underachiever that we often underestimate him, but he always came through for us when we asked. Edison earned his Rally Novice title at the age of 8.5 and also managed to bring home a first place ribbon with a score of 99 out of 100! What Edison enjoyed the most were his pet therapy visits to the mental health unit of our local hospital. Edison was a member of Cornell Companions, a pet visitation program at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, for over 6 years. Meeting new people made Edison's day.  We lost Edison to cancer 3 weeks shy of his 10th birthday.  He is forever in our thoughts and in our hearts.  Words can not express how much we miss The Big Guy.

 Kubrick

We purchased Kubrick in 1993 as a 'pet' puppy with a spay contract. She was such a wonderful companion and truly enriched our lives. And, she turned us on to the breed and we are very grateful for that. Kubrick loved the land and was a great huntress of rabbits, woodchucks and mice. She also loved people, especially children. Kubrick was one of the first members of Cornell Companions, a pet assisted therapy program founded and run by the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. With the creation of this program in 1997, Kubrick visited with special needs children until she became ill in the fall of 2000. Kubrick was a good 'worker' and earned her UKC CD. She also earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and her TT (ATTS Temperament Test). These 3 titles plus her therapy work giving her DDBS working titles WD1, WD2, and WD3. Kubrick was not a 'great looking' Bordeaux, but she was beautiful in our eyes. We lost Kubrick to a brain tumor (glioma) on February 22, 2001. She was 7.5 years old. She is still a very large part of our lives and our hearts. In Memory Of Kubrick

DDBSA CH MyVeryOwn Moonlight Diva, TT

"J.Lo"

October 27, 2002 - February 1, 2009

We lost J.Lo suddenly and unexpectedly on February 1, 2009  from gastric hemorrhaging, a result of an acute enterotoxemia.  J.Lo was out of CH MyVeryOwn Tinkerbelle and CH Punkin's Levon LHM, and was born on October 27, 2002.  J.Lo was a large female with incredible prey drive and a complete sweetheart and devoted family member.  J.Lo suffered from various health problems throughout her short life including idiopathic epilepsy, mild sub-aortic stenosis, hip and elbow dysplasia and ruptured cruciate ligaments.  Despite all she went through, she displayed a champion spirit til the very end.  She was a very special girl.

Cleo

We adopted Cleo from the Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America Rescue in June, 2001. She was 5 years old at the time. She became a member of our family on that day and thoroughly enjoyed country life. Cleo's front paws were severely turned outward, most likely the result of HOD (hyper osteodystrophy). This structural abnormality did not hinder Cleo's activity at all. She ran and jumped as well as the rest of the pack. Cleo was the sweetest dog and had many fans. We lost Cleo to cancer on May 1, 2006, two months shy of her 10th birthday. She is greatly missed by all of us. Visit Cleo's photo album.
